It was absolutely awesome! The best sprint car race I've seen in many a moon. You definitely don't want to crash at Eldora, it is absolutely unforgiving. Nobody was hurt, but some of the crashes were wicked. Jac Haudenschild won, Stevie Smith was second, Dickie Gaines third and J.J. Yeley fourth. Stevie had never driven a sprint car without a wing until Friday night, I was impressed. Haud ran against the fence all the time - very hairy at Eldora. Dickie Gaines started 15th and led for awhile until Haud ran him down and passed him on the outside - the only outside pass I saw in 2 days. Huge slide jobs mostly. I would do this one again in a heartbeat. More info when I see you.

I left you home because you don't look so good in bikini. I'm just not sure where you're going to find someone to do a wax job.

Might be a bit graphic. On Speed news they said that prior to that race Dickey gaines biggest purse was $1200. I have to agree with the late Rick Voegler "Real sprint cars don't have wings"

I thought (D)ickie Gaines was going to win it when he got the lead, it was a very strong run from the back and a no sweat pass for the lead. But Haud on the fence was just too much. Real big acorns to pass Gaines coming out of 2 on the fence. If Gaines would have run up towards the fence, they'd have picked up Haud 2 counties over.
As an aside, that's the benefit of spreading the money out over the field. If the payout would have been front end loaded (say a million to win and 100 bucks for second) Gaines might have run him into the fence. But when second and third are worth over a hundred grand, it behooves you to not take a chance on getting wrecked. Absolutely fabulous racing.

Sounds good. Chips Ahoy come from the same factory as Twinkies. Nuclear holocaust certified survival food.
