how do i know when my clutch is done without waitin till its too late. (race day). i have a shoe style clutch and have burned about a 3/16ths to 1/4 of an inch of wear and it seems to be hangin up when i stand fire it. i have 3 other clutches , Maxtorque and 2 disk style clutches. what do i do, what do i do?

use the 2 disc....what brand? what engine?

i dont know what brand the clutches are but they are purple and black..... if that helps. i have modified animal. #74

yep, got to agree with Dix, just about all of us are using some style of 2 disk dry clutch. they seem to hold up well. The shoe style clutches seem to burn up really fast unless your on something without much power. ie the kid karts with the comer 50 or 80cc.

Josh, go to the disks, pick the one with the most meat or the least wear, check out fourcycle forum on the net, everyone there says nations #1 clutch guy is David Martin-Martin Built Clutches 270-564-1507. hope this helps brother, lornn #48
